JIA TSA Security Expansion - Eagle Award
The Jacksonville International Airport (JIA) underwent a transformative overhaul of its TSA security checkpoint to enhance passenger experience and security. Miller Electric Company was a key partner in this ambitious project, providing cutting-edge electrical and security installations. Our team installed new panels and transformers to power advanced screening machines, alongside state-of-the-art lighting and a suite of sophisticated security devices, including high-definition cameras and door controls. This comprehensive renovation significantly bolstered security and heightened the airport’s operational efficiency.
Isle of Berk at Epic Universe - Pyramid Award
Miller Electric delivered the comprehensive medium and low voltage electrical work for the 16- acre Isle of Berk within Universal’s Epic Universe. This complex themed land project encompassed five major venues, including a fully operational theater and a roller coaster, along with 17 support buildings. This award recognizes Miller Electric’s adaptability and commitment to excellence in managing a large and evolving scope, leveraging strategic partnerships, and contributing over one million labor hours to bring this dynamic world to life.
JTA U2C Bay Street Innovation Corridor - Eagle Award
Miller Electric was a crucial partner on the Jacksonville Transportation Authority’s (JTA) Ultimate Urban Circulator (U2C) Bay Street Innovation Corridor. As part of the Balfour Beatty Vision 2 Reality (V2R) team, Miller Electric provided solutions for the Bay Street Innovation Corridor and the Autonomous Innovation Center (AIC). This first-of-its-kind program aims to transform downtown Jacksonville by modernizing its circulator to accommodate Autonomous Vehicles (AVs), showcasing Miller Electric’s role in powering the city’s intelligent transportation future.
PGA TOUR Studios - Pyramid Award
Miller Electric Company successfully delivered the comprehensive electrical and technology infrastructure for the 160,000-square-foot PGA TOUR Studios in Ponte Vedra Beach. This state-of-the-art digital media center, housing the world’s largest golf footage library, was completed within a challenging two-year timeframe. This award highlights Miller Electric’s innovative scheduling and problem-solving, including navigating a major redesign of critical power systems and utilizing advanced tools like BIM coordination.
St. Johns River Park Phase 1 - Eagle Award
This project represents a monumental revitalization of a cherished Jacksonville landmark. Miller Electric Company, in a design-build partnership with ACON Construction and the City of Jacksonville (COJ), proudly delivered the intricate electrical and technological backbone for the Friendship Fountain and St. Johns River Park. The award recognizes the innovative construction methods used, such as installing audio systems within 17 large concrete benches and utilizing Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) scanning to route conduits through the park’s older infrastructure.
Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp - Pyramid Award
The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp stadium has recently undergone extensive renovations, a multifaceted initiative that successfully integrated three projects—the locker room, a new Right Field building, and a new Home Plate Club—into one cohesive effort. Completed in an impressive 40-day timeframe, this award recognizes the exceptional teamwork and strategic partnerships that were crucial in delivering a modernized facility and enhancing the overall experience for players and fans.
