Showcasing Our Work at Baptist Jax Entry/Wolfson Children’s Critical Care Tower

by | Oct 19, 2021 | Electrical Contracting

Baptist Health System, one of North Florida’s most comprehensive health care systems, is expanding its downtown Jacksonville, FL, campus.

The Baptist Jacksonville Entry/Wolfson Children’s Critical Care Tower will open in early 2022, ensuring the most vulnerable patients receive the highest level of neonatal and pediatric intensive care in a state-of-the-art, family-centered environment.

Miller Electric Company was contracted to do the full electrical installation due to our longstanding relationship with Baptist Health. This new video series takes you on a tour of the new Tower and showcases the work done by numerous of our MECO teams and also the work of the IBEW Local 177.

The Wolfson Children’s Critical Care Tower will be comprised of five floors dedicated to pediatric critical care, including a 92-bed high-level Neonatal Intensive Care Center as well as a 35-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Each room will feature a private bathroom and can comfortably sleep two parents.

When complete, the Tower will be the new “front door” for Baptist Health’s downtown Jacksonville campus. A skybridge, which opened in October 2020, will connect patients directly from the P2 parking garage to the new building’s second-floor lobby.
