Group President Spotlight: Brian Seay, Chief Construction Officer and Group President

Our substantial growth over the past few years has given us both the need and opportunity to restructure our leadership framework, promoting career advancement for our talented leaders while structuring our organization for sustainable expansion. This new structure has aligned our core business under five operating segments with an increased emphasis on geographies and specialized market segments. With Group Presidents over each of the five segments, this reorganization allows us to realize the potential of our leaders and provide the structure to support our continued growth. We are very fortunate to have significant leadership depth at all levels of the organization from field leadership through the executive team. For the next few editions, we want you to get to know our remarkable Group Presidents beginning with Brian Seay, our Chief Construction Officer and Group President for Florida and Healthcare.
With over 30 years of experience in the electrical industry, Brian currently serves as the Chief Construction Officer (CCO) and Group President for Florida Offices and Healthcare at Miller Electric. Brian’s key responsibilities include:

Brian is committed to leading his teams through innovation as well as implementing standardized construction processes and continuous improvement initiatives. He has successfully guided the integration of two major electrical contractors, transitioning over 20 office staff members and more than 200 field employees into the Miller Electric family, while also assuming responsibility for various multimillion-dollar projects at different stages of completion. Additionally, he played a significant role in establishing new locations in Savannah and Fort Walton Beach. He is presently engaged in establishing an office in Fort Myers as well.
From Airborne to Industry Leadership: Brian’s Transformative Journey at Miller Electric
Brian joined Miller Electric in 2002 as an Assistant Project Manager and has advanced through various roles, working on a diverse array of projects in sectors such as healthcare, industrial manufacturing, higher education, mass transit, and wastewater treatment. In his previous role as Vice President of Healthcare, he expanded the group’s presence beyond Jacksonville, solidifying Miller Electric’s status as a leading electrical contractor in Florida’s healthcare sector. His career progression continued as he served as Senior Vice President of Healthcare and Construction Operations, then Executive Vice President of Healthcare, Industrial, Strategic Projects, and Federal/Military.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, Brian served the majority of enlistment at Ft. Bragg North Carolina as part of the 82nd Airborne Division. He has been actively engaged in the electrical industry since 1990. He is a proud graduate of the Jacksonville Academy of Electrical Technology (Class of 1996) and holds licenses as an Electrical Contractor/Master Electrician in 44 states. He is also an active participant in several trade and industry organizations.

Brian’s Dedication to Family and Community
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Brian has served as the Chairman of the Wolfson Children’s Hospital Bass Tournament for the past 16 years. Over the course of 35 years the tournament has raised in excess of $7 million dollars for the Children’s Hospital.
Brian has been married for 33 years to Paula and has two children Carissa (31) and Allie (22). When Brian is not at work, he and Paula are either spending time with the girls or fishing from their airboat.
