Celebrating Success: Trade Pro Academy
At Miller Electric, we’re proud to invest in the next generation of skilled trade professionals through our Trade Pro Academy program. This month, we have two exciting milestones to share, one celebrating a graduating class in Jacksonville and another showcasing the incredible progress of our current class in Ft. Myers.
Jacksonville Graduation
We’re excited to celebrate the completion of our 23rd Trade Pro Academy cohort in Jacksonville. This intensive four-week, 160-hour program has now trained 313 aspiring trade professionals, equipping them with the hands-on experience and foundational skills needed to launch lasting careers in our industry. For many, this program serves as the first step into the trades, opening doors to apprenticeship opportunities and long-term career growth.
Ft. Myers Training in Action
Meanwhile, in Ft. Myers, our current class is hard at work building the skills and certifications that will shape their careers. Over the past two weeks, participants have:
- Gained practical knowledge of electrical tools and materials
- Practiced installation and wiring of switches, along with troubleshooting techniques
- Mastered conduit bending and raceway installation with accuracy and precision
- Completed safety training, including lift operation, fall protection, forklift, and lull training
- Engaged in mentorship opportunities focused on career pathways and leadership development
- Applied their skills in a capstone project, demonstrating teamwork, technical execution, and leadership
By the program’s end, participants leave with not only practical certifications and stronger technical foundations, but also a clear roadmap for growth and advancement at Miller Electric.
