Miller’s Commercial Construction Group recently completed a sizable data center project for a Fortune 500 company in Richmond Virginia. This massive 300,000 square foot Tier 4+ facility consists of 100,000 sqft of “white” space. Five 2 mega-watt generators provide emergency power back up. Included in our scope of work was:

1) Over 25,000’ of cable tray
2) Over 800,000’ of conduit
3) Over 2,000,000’ of wire
4) Over 30,000 feet of uni-strut
5) Over 70,000’ of threaded rod

Miller’s on-site construction team peaked at 330 electricians during this fast paced project. The management team responsible for this exciting project included:

  • Ed Witt Jr (Sr Vice President)
  • Eddie O’Halloran (Vice President)
  • Steve Sandefer (Project Manager)
  • Ronnie Roberts (Project Manager)
  • Joe Pearce (Assistant Project Manager)
  • Eric Bright (Superintendent)
  • Chad Alford (General Foreman)
  • Todd Stewart (General Foreman)
  • Jonathan Harvey (General Foreman)
  • Rick Adams (General Foreman)
  • Monica Alford (Quality Control)
  • Randy Hardin (Field Engineer)

As the project construction group wrapped up the installation, the Miller Corporate Services Team transitioned into this facility to provide on-going maintenance, testing, upgrades and long term support to the client.

This project shows the flexibility that Miller Electric Company can offer to its customers. We can manage and mobilize our on-site work teams anywhere in the country for any size project and level of complexity.
