Memorial Hospital Cardiovascular OR Upgrades

by | Oct 24, 2018 | Project Highlights

Miller Electric was a recent contributor on a $2.5M renovation and upgrade of two Cardiovascular Operating Rooms at Memorial Hospital. With the future in mind, these surgical suites were constructed and designed to support modern surgical techniques with the ability to accommodate new technology moving forward.

The two operating rooms which can also be referred to as “Smart ORs” or “iSuites” embody technology and digital integration – allowing medical staff constant access to patient information, images and video. Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon Dr. Dale Mueller, MD stated that  “Being able to access 3-D images during cardiothoracic and vascular surgery enhances visualization and communication so everyone in the room involved in the patient’s care can follow precise details and provide real-time input during surgical procedures.”

As a hospital that performs close to 300 heart surgeries a year, Memorial expects nothing but the best for the patients in their cardiac program. “This industry-leading technology modernizes our capabilities and reaffirms our commitment to providing high-quality care to our cardiovascular patients,” said Memorial Hospital President & CEO Bradley S. Talbert, FACHE. “Investing in our cardiovascular operating rooms allows us to enhance how we deliver care to patients and position ourselves for future innovation.”

Miller Electric in partnership with Commercial Construction Services was proud to work on a project that allows Memorial Hospital to deliver the best care to their patients in our community.
