Miller Electric Company started in the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) field in 1996. In the last three years alone, Miller has held prime contracts in excessive of $159 million in ITS projects, including almost $100 million in design-build projects. These projects encompass the installation of 500 plus CCTV assemblies and close to 150 Dynamic Message Signs, Highway Advisory Radios, Roadway Weather Information Systems and 1,300 Vehicle Detector Systems. The supporting infrastructure includes the required power services, HUB switching stations, over 500 miles of fiber optic backbone and nearly 400 miles of wireless mobile VoIP subsystems.
Our broad range of signalization experience includes the installation of mast arm and span wire signalization, the installation of Type F, Type B, Type 2, and optical detectors, interconnected systems (fiber optic) and stand alone signals, and TS2, Type 1 controller installation and integration. Work is performed according to state standard specifications and local government requirements. The majority of Miller's recent signalization experience is as a subcontractor on large roadway projects; however, in the last two years, Miller has installed almost $14 million worth of signalization systems, encompassing 42 intersections. We currently have five International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) certified Signal Inspectors, who are also IMSA Level II Signal Technicians, an additional two IMSA Level II Signal Technicians, and one Level III IMSA Signal Tech.
