Pre-Construction

At Miller Electric Company we pride ourselves on being involved with our projects from start to finish. With our PreConstruction Services, we start right from the beginning by simplifying complex designs into easy to follow installation instructions with point-to-point layouts. WIth our services, we essentially build a project twice; once in the virtual world, and a second time in the real world. Using our prefabrication facility, we assemble as much of the project as we can before transferring it to the job site. Throughout the duration of the project, we have several of our teams involved and engaged to ensure the project gets completed to our client’s standards. Being this involved in each step of the project ensures that every aspect is handled with with the highest care and concern.

  • Project Coordination

From a deep understanding of our client’s needs, we develop a comprehensive optimization solution focused on the greatest return on energy and financial investment.

  • BIM & CAD Services

At Miller Electric, we utilize 3D modeling to coordinate underground and overhead installations with other MEP trades. From a coordinated model, we create build sheets for our fabrication shop, detailed installation drawings for the field, and layout points for the Sokkia Robotic Total Station.

  • Pre-Fabrication

Once your 3D model has been fully coordinated with the other MEP trades, we will create assembly build sheet drawings for fabrication to arrive on the jobsite with floorplan installation diagrams for "just-in-time" installation.

  • Point Layout

Because more commercial and industrial construction jobs have become centered around Building Information Modeling or BIM, the coordinates for virtually every pipe, conduit, duct, and hanger support are available with digital precision. The application of communicating a virtual model to a tangible construction potentially eliminates labor costs related to moving poorly measured systems, as well as time spent laying out these systems in the midst of a full blown construction job in progress.
