Miller Electric Goes Solar!

Miller Electric Company has recently completed building a large high tech Solar Power project in Jacksonville that will provide 12.6 Mega-Watts of power back to our local utility company.
This is a massive installation with solar panels taking up approximately 93 acres of a 160 acre site. This 10 month project peaked with 65 electricians on-site and Miller employees are doing all of the installation with the exception of the site preparation (drainage, grading, roads, etc...)
Starting with the support steel, Miller electricians are driving the support posts into the ground, erecting the steel columns and cross beams, installing all hardware, placing the actual glass solar panels, tying in all of the wiring between the panels, installing the underground electrical work, placing the (10) power station prefab buildings and system commissioning.
This high profile project is being managed by the Industrial Group which includes Vice President Bill Foley Jr, Project Managers Mike Brannen and Assistant Project Manager Scott Santrone. Field Supervision is provided by Miller Superintendent Dale Sallie and Foremen Phil "Philo" Brown and Mark "Griff" Griffin.
